I lost 20 lbs and dropped two sizes. It’s been five years and I have sustained it. I feel great, energized, and active all through the day without feeling deprived of my favorite foods.
I was overweight and lethargic and wanted to lose the last 15 lbs. Tried all the diets out there, counted calories, used measuring cups and tried the point system, but nothing worked. I was tired of the “one-size fits all” mentality. I would lose a few lbs. and gain it all back when I would start eating my staple, Indian foods. I was tired and frustrated. Sound familiar?
It was the time when I had to buy another size up is where I said that is enough.
I have to do something with the weight and my nasty cravings.In my search, I found the “Institute of Integrative Nutrition” and got my certification. While working on my yearlong certification, I started applying what I was learning on myself and I started to lose weight slowly but steadily. Gone were the days of feeling hungry all the time, craving desserts and irritability. I felt good to my core self. I had more energy, mobility and felt happy from inside.
