Falooda is a cold dessert from the Indian subcontinent. It is a version of the Iranian faloodeh. Traditionally it is made from mixing rose syrup, vermicelli, sweet basil seeds with milk, and often served with ice cream. Here, I have completely changed this recipe to a healthy one without compromising the taste.
INGREDIENTS
1. 1 liter 2% milk
2. 1/2 cup non-fat dry milk
3. 3-4 frozen organic strawberries
4. 1/4 cup basil seeds or chia seeds, soaked in water
5. 1/2 cup cooked quinoa thin spaghetti
6. 1/2 cup of mix nuts and raisins as needed (pistachios, sliced almonds, and cashews)
7. 1 tsp rose essence.
8. 1/4 cup maple syrup
9. 4-5 scoops of vanilla ice-cream or follow my healthy mango ice-cream recipe with any fruit and enjoy a total healthy falooda.
steps
1. Blend the strawberries, maple syrup and both the kinds of milk with rose essence, blend thoroughly
2. Take a 12 oz transparent glass and 2 tablespoons of basil seeds or chia seeds without the water, add 2 tablespoons of spaghetti, add the nuts and raisins
3. Add the blended milk and top with ice-cream! Serve cold! Enjoy!
