Dish Description

Oatmeal is a preparation of oats that have been de-huskedsteamed, and flattened, or a coarse flour of hulled oat grains (groats) that have either been milled (ground)rolled, or steel-cut. Ground oats are also called white oats.

  • 1. 1 cup of Rolled oats
  • 2. 15-20 dates soaked for 1 hour, discard the water, and mashed in a chopper
  • 3. 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 4. 1/4 cup hemp seeds
  • 5. 1/4 cup flax seeds powder
  • 6. 1/4 cup sesame seed
  • 7. 1/2 cup almond meal (ground almonds)
  • 8. 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 9. 1/4 cup coconut sugar or date sugar (if needed)
  • 10. 1/4cup sliced almonds
  • Grease a medium size tray with a little coconut oil and set aside. Add coconut oil to another pan and let it melt on low flame.
  • Add the mashed dates and cook for a couple of minutes.
  • Add rolled oats and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the rest of the seeds, chia seeds last, and then mix well. Cook another couple of minutes.
  • I need more oil, then add a tablespoon. Taste for sweetness, if need more sweetness, add coconut sugar or date sugar as needed.
    Spread the mixture on the greased tray and store it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Cut into small bite-size and Enjoy!
